Control Point announced a promotional campaign to introduce small and medium size businesses to Information Security services. As part of the program, qualifying businesses will receive a free consultation and vulnerability scan and be provided with the results. According to Chief Security Strategist, Jim Cowden, “This is a great program to help business understand whether they are truly secure – or not. This type of evaluation service can cost upwards of $1000. We are ready, willing, and able to do it for free! Once businesses see the result, I believe that it will dramatically increase awareness for what really happens on their systems.

Control Point on Sprint Nextel Team Receive Award on the $20 Billion GSA Networx Contract

GSA announces award to Sprint Nextel along with 4 other telecommunication Primes on the Networx Enterprise contract. Control Point is responsible for delivering the Vulnerability Scanning Service (VSS) under the Network Security portion of the contract. By subscribing to this Control Point-provided service, agencies can receive periodic systems scans which direct them to critical areas of need in their systems. They can then direct their security efforts toward that end, strengthening their security posture and gauging the results of their efforts over time.

Control Point on PenBay Team Awarded $5 Billion GSA VETS-GWAC Contract

Control Point is part of the Penobscot Bay Media (Pen Bay) team awarded the Veterans Technology Services Government-Wide Acquisition Contract (VETS GWAC). This 5 year base (with a 5 year option) Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) GSA contract, is open to all government agencies and is designed to stimulate usage of capable Disabled Veteran Owned Businesses. Control Point offers Information Security services and solutions in support of this vital contract. The VETS GWAC is the direct result of Executive Order 13360, signed by President George W. Bush, which calls for a strengthening of federal contract opportunities for SDVO small businesses

The trustees of the California State University awarded SAIC, with principal subcontractor Control Point, a 3 year Master Enabling Agreement (MEA) to provide Information Security services and solutions to address security challenges throughout the 23 Campuses and the Chancellor’s Office.
